
Bhutan experienced a slight increase in tourist arrivals this January, with 4,751 visitors, marking a rise of 337 compared to January last year.
Bhutan experienced a slight increase in tourist arrivals this January, with 4,751 visitors, marking a rise of 337 compared to January last year.
According to the Monthly Tourism Bulletin, over 65 per cent of the tourists were Indian citizens, while the remaining were dollar-paying visitors.
More than 66 per cent of the tourists entered by road through Phuentsholing, while 31 per cent arrived via Paro International Airport. The remaining 2 per cent of visitors entered through Gelephu and Samdrup Jongkhar.
